2011 National Seniors's Teams Events

Teams Event
The Teams tournament is an annual event for men's and women's teams played in five year age groups, 35-40, 40-45, 45-50, up to 75+.  This event is usually held over the Easter Weekend and is organised by Tennis Seniors New Zealand.

Affiliation
All team members must be members of an affiliated veteran's club/association.  If not a member and would like to join the Auckland Assoc. please contact – Julie Blow on tennisseniorsauckland@hotmail.com Teams will be compiled by the Tennis Seniors Auckland Board and submitted by the Secretary to Tennis Seniors NZ.

Teams Entered
Teams consist of 4-6 players.  Two teams may be entered by an association in any age group.  With larger age groups the draw will be split into sections.
With smaller age groups there is the possibility of two groups being amalgamated, e.g. 40 to 50 to give the required number of games.  When this happens, there is still a winner for each of the amalgamated age groups.

Composite Teams
These are teams that comprise of members from different senior associations, where there have not been enough players to form a representative team.

Combined Teams
Teams with one or two players from two adjacent senior associations.  Smaller associations find this useful.  Where players become involved in a combined team they must first have clearance from their own association that they are not needed.  It is the responsibility of the association that they are joined too to confirm that approval has been given.  Failure to gain clearance can result in the loss of points for the teams involved.

Entry Date
Associations are asked to have provisional team numbers in to the Tennis Seniors New Zealand Secretary by early December.  All confirmed teams to Tennis Seniors New Zealand by 31st March 2011
