ADDING NEW PLAYERS TO THE GRADING SYSTEM
It is the Interclub Controllers job to ensure that new members are added to the grading system. Players must be added to the grading system before their results can be calculated.

Please ensure new players’ information is added to the Grading List prior to them taking part in interclub fixtures or tournaments.

When putting new members onto the grading list, to ensure that they are placed in the appropriate position, here are some guidelines:

1. Have them play against people you consider to be of similar ability
2. If they win easily, find higher graded players for them to play
3. If they lose easily, find lower graded players for them to play
4. When matches are close, this should indicate they are of a similar level to those they have played and should be put at that level
5. Don’t forget, if there is a mistake, a manual adjustment can be made.
6. Manual adjustments are for significant changes ONLY, as small changes will occur quickly by winning or losing.
