The draws are now out for the Kia Amateur Australian Open Qualifying Tournament being held at Scarbro Tennis Centre.  Play gets under way at 6.00pm on Thursday 3rd September with Men’s Open and B Grade singles action.  The men’s open draw is headed up by top seed Jackson Bodle (Northland) and Andrew Allan (Royal Oak) is seeded second.  There could be some tight matches in the competition for the big prize of a trip to the 2010 Australian Open to compete in the Kia Amateur Australian Open tournament.  On the women’s side, current travelling pro, Kairangi Vano (Kohimarama) heads up the draw with  Tracey O’Connor (Kohimarama) seeded number two.  Matches run from 6.00pm Thursday and Friday evening and from 9.00am on Saturday and Sunday.  Finals will be held on Tuesday evening 8th September at Scarbro Tennis Centre.
